  •  2004-2009 During this time I started to volunteer at a camp United Cerebral Palsy. This camp was my 2nd encounter with children who had special needs. Here I started as a volunteer and transitioned into a group counselor. As a volunteer I was assigned a camper for the week and we would swim together eat, do arts and crafts and we had gym time daily. Once I started driving parents would hire me for weekends and after hours care. During that time I was able to gain a variety of experience seeing how I had a different camper each week. As a group counselor I was responsible for studying the campers and assigning volunteers to each child as their personalities matched. I was able to gain leadership and management and problem solving skills in this position.

  •  2009-2012 is when I started to be hired and paid independently for my care giving services. I worked at a few group homes during this time.(Mosaic, Behavioral Health Initiative, Volunteers of America) I was able to receive my drug administration license get my cpr and first aid certifications and passed all OSHA HIPPA and Relias tests.  Relias is online education for healthcare, senior care and disability professionals. Here I was forced to work with other people and learned conflict resolution, leadership and communication skills.

  • 2012-2015 I started to care for children as a side job while working at the memory care unit at Danberry retirement home. In the memory care unit I was a resident manager who was responsible for the well being of 11 patients in my wing. There I prepared bedrooms for nighttime routine, prepared meals, administered medication, assisted with all daily living activities such as bathing, tooth brushing, toileting and ect. Here is when I was able to experience working with people who had dementia. These clients would constantly have to be redirected and comforted. I loved talking with them and seeing how they viewed life through their eyes. I even had one client who would insist I cuddle her every night before clocking out. She was one of my favorites. Here I was able to experience working at a fast pace managing my time and multitasking.

  •  2015-2018 I started to nanny fulltime and I worked for lots of families full-time. I have kept children while their parents went on vacation I have assisted with day, evening and overnight as well. I decided that I wanted to start to watch children in my home for date nights or when parent just needed some time home alone. So I started to order things offline and started setting up my space. I set up a small in home daycare/ sensory care for children who suffer from sensory disorders. It’s a clean and controlled and caring environment located in walking distance from a playground. It’s a kid wonderland loaded with age appropriate activities and toys they are sure to love.

  • 2018-2019 Over the years I have worked with preemies, twins, triplets, infants, young children, teens, adults and seniors. I currently household manage and I also assist families with childcare and I have a referral service that helps nannies find positions that are the perfect fit.

I could never list everyone but I wanted to share a bit of my past experiences. All in all I learned that everyone is different and sometimes it’s necessary to slow down and provide one on one care to really help people. Everyone learns grows and understands differently. I make it my duty to professionally communicate the needs of those who cannot speak for themselves. Everyone deserves a fair chance at life and I'm here to help parents and families connect the gaps. That’s why I am dedicated to creating unique care plans to help make life easier.
